Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Pondicherry University, Puducherry.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed the undergraduate degree examination of a university accepted as equivalent in any of the disciplines noted below: English, Tamil, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, History, Geography, Political Science, Commerce, and Economics. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in part-III (Main +Allied) of the Bachelor Degree Course.

(A Minimum of 40% Mark for OBC, MBC, and Physically Challenged candidates and 40% Mark for SC and ST Candidates. There is no upper age limit for admission to B.Ed. Course Candidates who have taken more than one main subject in part III (Double or Triple major) in the undergraduate degree will be eligible for admission to any one of the main subjects.

Admission Details

Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained on the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/ U.T. Administration and the University.
