Vidyabharti Trust Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Surat, conducts an exceedingly huge number of courses in the field of engineering at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level levels of studies. VTITRC welcomes eligible contenders on the basis of a proper fine-tuned admission procedure towards numerous of its courses. VTITRC functions under Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and operates based on norms by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) for admissions within Gujarat.

The attached cycle for VTITRC generally begins during May-June for the August-September beginning academic year. Undergraduate programs have admissions based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores, while postgraduate programs have admissions based on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores and Common Entrance Test by ACPC.

For UG courses, the candidates should have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The candidate should possess a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/SEBC) in the qualifying examination. PG candidates should have a corresponding bachelor's degree in engineering or technology.

Application Process

Application process for VTITRC depends on the course:

For B.Tech courses:

1. Clear JEE Main examination.

2. Submit application form for centralized admission process on ACPC website.

3. Pay online application fee and submit the online application form.

4. Upload compulsory documents, i.e., 12th standard mark sheet, JEE Main score card, and category certificates (if any).

5. Take part in the online counseling process of ACPC.

6. If seat is allotted, report to VTITRC for document verification and fee payment.

For M.Tech programs:

1. Qualify in GATE exam or report in Common Entrance Test held by ACPC.

2. Get registered on the ACPC portal for centralized admission process.

3. Submit online application form and pay application fee.

4. Upload documents, if needed, such as bachelor's degree certificate, GATE score card (if applicable), and other supporting certificates.

5. Attend the counseling process according to ACPC guidelines.

6. In the event of selection, attend VTITRC for admission process and fee submission.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: VTITRC has six B.Tech courses with a total intake capacity of 540 seats. Admissions are done on the basis of JEE Main ranks and are processed through ACPC's centralized admission system. The courses provided are in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. The duration for all the courses is 4 years.

M.Tech: There are three M.Tech courses in the institute: Construction Engineering and Management (18 seats), Production Engineering (24 seats), and Signal Processing and Communications (12 seats). Admissions are mostly on the basis of GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also be shortlisted on the basis of performance in the qualifying exam and a Common Entrance Test by ACPC. These are full-time 2-year programs.
