Vidyalankar Institute of Technology Mumbai is a leading private Engineering college of Maharashtra. This college is moderately good in terms of Academics, Infrastructure and Placement. Computer Science is the branch which grabs most of the placements. Information Technology is the branch with second highest placements. But for other branches the recruitment percentage is not so good. Zeus Learning, TCS Ninja, Nucsoft, L&T Infotech, Ugam Solutions etc recruit CS and IT students from the college with an average package of 3.5 to 4 lacs per annum. It's hard to predict percentile cutoff as cutoff depends on several factors like number of students appeared, toughness of question paper etc. But as per prediction depending on previous few years cutoff you have a great opportunity to get admission in CSE or IT branch in VIT Mumbai. As previous few years cutoff closes within 90 Percentile.

Hope it would be helpful.

Yes, I believe having a score of 88 in MHCET having EWS Advantage you might have fair chances in securing a seat in any stream at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology Wadala. For more information and college prediction do follow the link below

All the best friend!

In terms of placement both the universities provide good exposure but the major difference is that Chandigarh University is a Government College, whereas VIT is a Private College.

The cutoff rank for JEE mains for VIT mumbai was around 55k for B.Tech CSE  and 75k for B.tech IT.
As you have scored 87 percentile in JEE mains your rank will lie between 117000 to 130000.
So you have no chances of getting a seat in B.tech CSE or IT.

As far as placement are concerned, both the colleges have almost similar placements but I'll still prioritize vidyalankar institute of technology Mumbai over LNCT Bhopal because it has got a decent atmosphere and infrastructure as well. The participation in extra curricular and cultural activities is also great. The fees also has vast difference. LNCT Bhopal has 11.38 lakhs fees for 4 years and vit Mumbai had around approx 5.5 lakhs for the full course.

As per the colleges that you've mentioned, VJTI tops in Mumbai for computer science field. After that the second best as per the reviews and placements is Kj Somaiya college of Engineering. It has got some decent placements and a great campus with good infrastructure as well. The next best in Swami Vivekananda college of engineering. The cutoffs usually for VJTI CSE is in the range of 180 marks and Kj somaiya is in the range of 150 marks and swami Vivekananda is in the range of 140 marks.
