VCACS Pune Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

A separate Institute Certified hostel for boys is available in Kondhwa (Bk) area for VCACS students. Hostel is in close proximity to the institute, which makes it safe and secure environment for students to learn and grow.

The college library has a collection of materials under different sections like reference section, CD section, Competitive Examination Section apart from a general section of books, periodicals, journals, newspapers, and e-resource material to assist the learners in their intellectual pursuit. A separate reading room is also added to the library. The library has OPAC and other ICT tools deployed to improve access. The Library Advisory Committee headed by the Principal looks after the activities and requirements of the library. The library services are automated by using the SLIM- 21 software. Daily newspapers are clipped and displayed for students and the staff. Weekly Employment Newspaper is provided to the students as well as different competitive exam books are made available. In short, library satisfies all recommendations and directions from the Dr.S.R.Ranganathan committee. The institute has two well-equipped electronics labs. The first lab is designed for first-year students which consist of circuit boards CRO’s Power Supplies, Millimetres, etc. the Second lab is designed for second-year students which consist of the circuit board, 20 PCs, and LCD projector. Both laboratories are having adequate space which offers a conducive atmosphere to conduct practicals.

The college has an auditorium with 200 capacities is available within the campus and another auditorium with 500 capacities is available offsite campus of our own institute.

The canteen facility is available in the campus. There is one big and two small canteens, snack centers, etc. in the campus. They provide all varieties of tasty and hygienic food. It provides a proper and sufficient seating arrangement for staff and students.

The College organizes health check-up for all the students of all streams every year. For students and staff, the college is having a health care center with a part-time doctor. First-Aid treatment is provided immediately in the college itself.

The college has extremely well equipped advanced and technologically sound computer labs. All the laboratories are well furnished and spacious interior in it. The computer lab is available for all the (IT and non-IT) students who are concurrently enrolled in courses that required the use of the lab for enhancing and developing IT and business skills. The labs are equipped with all office automation equipment including desktop, printers, LCD, projectors, laptops, and a variety of the latest software. There are five computer labs. All labs on campus with PCs with a higher configuration having windows and red hat Linux with Microsoft Office 10 suite. Students are able to access the Internet, their college mails, Java, Dot net, PHP, SQL, C, C++, etc. The College provides AIRCEL 5 Mbps leased line internet connection with Wi-Fi in the campus, 193 computers with internet facility are made available for faculty and students. There is a total of 15 laptops, 41 printers and LAN facilities in all computer laboratories.

This facility is available and used within the campus and it is shared between the campus and Vishwakarma Maritime Institute (VMI).

College also has a Playground for outdoor games like Foot Ball, Hand Ball, Basket Ball, Volleyball, Long Jump, High Jump, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Cricket, etc. College provides Indoor game facilities like Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Yoga, etc The main objective of the Sports is to foster a sportsman spirit inculcating a sense of discipline, co-operation, social harmony, integrity and fitness among the players. To achieve a healthier lifestyle while coping with the pressures of studying, one needs to be healthy both emotionally and physically. As a part of this process, the college emphasizes the importance of sports and considers them an integral part of the curriculum. the college has physical education and sports activities that help the students maintain fitness and develop a competitive spirit.

The alumni of the college play a vital role in promoting the college through corporate references and social networks.

The facility of the guest house is also available in the campus area which is maintained by the Parent Society.

The College provides AIRCEL 5 Mbps leased line internet connection with Wi-Fi on the campus.

The College has provided adequate and Clean Parking places outlined with green bushes. Ample parking is provided for staff and students separately. Parking is partitioned in three sections as – i) Staff Parking ii) Students iii) Visitors

The College provides the transportation facility for various activities such as Industrial visits, Study tours, Picnics, Participation in sports tournaments, N.S.S. Camps.

ATM center of Oriental Bank of Commerce and A bank of Suvarnayug Sahakari Bank with ATM is available on the college campus.

This facility is available and used within the campus and it is shared between Vishwakarma Maritime Institute (VMI) and VCACS.

The Institute plans to provide smart classroom facility in the campus and this will have interactive board.

Off campus bookshop is available for students to provide variety of books as per university syllabus for the students
