Velammal Engineering College is an autonomous self-financing college which is affiliated to Anna University .
The college is approved by the AICTE.
VEC Chennai is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade.
Nine departments of the institute are accredited by the NBA.
The college has a placement cell that is responsible for conducting the placement drive at the campus. VEC Chennai placement drive is conducted every year by the placement cell for final year students. The aim of the placement cell is to ensure students of the institute are placed in reputed organisations with handsome packages. Infosys, Huawei, JSW Steel, HCL etc. are some of the companies that participate in Velammal Engineering College placement drive and hire students. VEC Chennai students are also offered summer internships. In the year 2020-21, a total of 203 students were placed in various organisations.

No this year vit and other college that you mentioed have no seats on the basis of jee mains, and in general also vit has its own exam and the other college do have some seats but this year there are no seats, unfortunately this year you can not join these college.

For admission in VIT Vellore one has to appear for the entrance exam called VITEEE. For admission in VEC Andhra Pradesh, you need to appear for AP EAMCET. Same goes for PBR VITS in Nellore Andhra Pradesh, you need to appear for AP EAMCET for B.Tech admission.
You can definitely get Velammal Engineering college considering the fact that their cutoff for OC category students lies somewhere near 31 and since you have scored more and fall in BC category so you have 100% chances of getting into the college.

In B- Category Admission colleges like CBIT, Vasavi doesn‘t conside category rank your All india mains rank must be below 1,20,000 to get Admission under B-Category. The tution fee is 1,60,000/- per year and these students will not be elgibile for fee reimbursement. They also give admission based on NRI quota under B-Category where you need to pay 5,000$ every year as tution fee and no need to pay 1,60,000/- additionally again. It is just like management quota. Keep on checking college official website to check b-Category Admission details.
