Vivekananda Law College, Puttur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The Vivekananda Law College, affiliated to Mangalore University and registered with the Bar Council of India (BCI), offers three-year LL.B. and a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B., catering to promising young minds into this branch of law. The admission here is strictly merit-based, by which it ascribes to the aggregate marks secured at the qualifying exam.

Generally, the college starts its admission process for the academic year in August-September.Eligibility criteria for admission to the Vivekananda Law College programs are based on the academic performance in the qualifying examination. For the LL.B. program, the candidate should have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. For the B.A. LL.B.

Application Process 

1. Contact the admissions office for the application form and admission notification.

2. Fill up the application form correctly with personal as well as academic details.

3. Attach the necessary documents; this includes-

• Passport size photographs
• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations 10+2 for B.A. LL.B. and bachelor's degree for LL.B.
• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate (if applicable)
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)

4. The college admission office accepts the duly filled application form with all documents on or before the last date of submission.

5. A merit list will be prepared by the college on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

6. Selected students are contacted, and they finalize their admission process after payment of all admission fees and verification of original documents.

7. Orientation programme by the college, in which they elaborate on the academic schedule, the rules of the college, etc.

Important point: The entire process is purely merit-based. No interview and additional entrance exam is conducted by the college. Admission is taken purely on performance in the qualifying examination and subject to availability.

A total of 256 students from the two programs enrolled with the institute; thus, Vivekananda Law College manages a healthy ratio between the faculty members, including 11 teaching staff. Such an academic institution allows personal attention and proper law education.

Degree Wise Admission Process

LL.B.: The three-year LL.B. programme at Vivekananda Law College has an approved intake of 120 seats. Admission to this course is strictly based on merit, taking into account the total marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university to be eligible for this program.

BA LLB: The five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. program also has an approved intake of 120 seats. Admission to this course, as with the LL.B. program, is strictly merit-based on the cumulative marks scored in the qualifying examination. Eligible candidates shall have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
