Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and a degree offered by The West Bengal University of Teachers Training Education Planning and Administration, Kolkata.


Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification required for entry into B.Ed. course is Bachelor of Arts ( B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). While students from arts stream are trained to teach subjects like history, civics, geography and language, the students from the science stream are trained to teach mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.

Admission Details

Admission Shall be Made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.
