The College Library has a collection of 40,523 books and 11,416 other printed materials including Question Papers, Bound Periodicals, Leaflets, and Maps. The library subscribes to 32 journals and magazines and 9 newspapers. It has also participated in the NLIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) Programme hosted by INFLIBNET center Ahmadabad. The library has been rendering service not only to the academic community of the college but to readers from outside of the college also.
Women’s College, Tinsukia provided hostel facilities to the students from the beginning. It was in a rented house at Khageswar Road and later on it was shifted to Durgabari in three houses. In 90’s decade the hostel was shifted to second floor of academic block of the college but within few years it was discontinued and reopened once again from 2006. The hostel shifted to present location from April, 2010 and it became full-fledged hostel from 2011 by accommodating students in all the three floors of the building after proper re construction. The name of the hostel was given S.C.Dey Sorcar Memorial Girls’ Hostel since then. The number of students crossed 100 in 2012 and it was formally inaugurated on 29th March, 2012 by the parents of then DC of Tinsukia, Minakshee Sundaram. The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. The Education Department is maintained by the support staff of the department.
The College Auditorium is well equipped with - Audio amplifiers & Microphones, LCD Projectors, Electricity backups, and more than 500 seat capacity which are used for various purposes. An Ethnic museum has also been created in the auditorium. The Auditorium has been used as Multi Utility Infrastructure with badminton and fencing courts.
The College canteen, Café Lounge provides a wide variety of food at affordable prices without any compromises on the quality of the food. It is located on the ground floor of Academic Block I of the College. Students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college can visit the canteen during free hours to refresh themselves and to spend time together. The College canteen caters to the functions organized in the college programmes like seminars, conferences and workshops. The canteen is efficiently administered by a Canteen Committee to maintain hygiene, quality and reasonable price. As per the UGC guidelines, the College has implemented a ban on junk food in the college canteen.
A young girl with a sound health is an asset to the Nation. Keeping this in mind the College has always been trying its level best to ensure that our students apart from getting quality education also can avail benefits of good health care facilities. It functions on all days except Sundays and national holidays. An MoU has been signed with Life Line Hospital, Tinsukia to facilitate healthcare facilities for students and staff alike.
The college has Computer Centre was established in the year 2003 and primarily to promote the Career Oriented Computer courses for the students of the college as well as outsiders. The center facility has been upgraded from time to time by installing the latest computer system catering to the computing needs of the faculty, students, and college administration.
The institution believes in the adage that health is wealth and cultivating a healthy relationship with fitness for personal well-being channelizes energy in the positive way. Therefore, the college has a well-equipped gymnasium with latest fitness gadgets like Tread Mill, Joggers, Weight sets etc. to promote mental and physical fitness. This fully functional fitness space is open in all working days and students, faculty members and other staff have free access to it.
College has been promoting sports and games not as a matter of policy but as a platform to groom youngsters for the coming years. Besides, an admission quota has been introduced, sporting achievements duly recognized through special facilities and awards being offered to deserving players. The college participates in various tournaments organized by Dibrugarh University as well as by State and National level sports organisations.
The Alumnae Association of Women’s College, Tinsukia encourages interaction between past and present student members of the College community. The Association actively participates in the development of the college. Membership is open to anyone who has completed a course in the College. There are provisions for both Annual and Life Membership.
The college has an N.C.C. (Central) wing which has been permitted to accommodate 84 cadets. Willing students should apply for selection into the wing. Certificates are awarded up to the ‘C’ level. The college has two N.S.S. wings/units under which several activities are performed regularly under the social extension service program. All the students of Degree shall have to get enrolled either in NCC or NSS.
The Eco-Club of Women's College, Tinsukia was formed under National Green Corps (NGC) as per instruction of Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Assam. Since its formation, the Eco-Club activities are carried out by the Club from time to time with active involvement of the In-charge Teacher of College Eco-Club, Teachers and Eco-Club members.
The College has a Training and placement Cell Facility for the students.
Our college provides us with all facilities. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. The digital library is available in our college. The library has e-books. Hostels have been newly constructed. They provide food on time. They provide vegetables and some non-veg curries. Rules are strict. They are going out for a long period. They should provide the presence of a local guardian. Classrooms are spacious. There is a microphone in every classroom. There are karate, music, and dance trainers. There is a canteen. We have a Xerox shop. They provide printing facilities. We have a huge reading room.
