XBS Kolkata Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The institute library has over 7,000 titles/books and more books and journals are being added on a regular basis. It has access to E-Journals and E-Books and the students feel encouraged to make use of these facilities. The library has a dedicated reading room which is accessible to the students on weekends as well.

The institute has a well-equipped lab, with updated systems installed with data analytics software such as SPSS, R Studio, Tableau which helps them in their research-related work throughout the course. We make active efforts in continuously upgrading ourselves with technology, adapting to the defining technological force of this millennium. The efforts have resulted in numerous e-initiative taken up in the Wi-Fi-enabled campus.

The whole campus of XBS Kolkata is wi-fi enabled. Students and faculty can access the wi-fi facility for free.

The institute has a “Tagore Residence for Boys”. The hostel has a mess facility that provides 3 meals a day. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are available for the students. Recreational facilities such as television and games are also available for the students. The hostels accommodate about 300 boys. The hostel mess provides 3 meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

“Mother Teresa Residence for Girls” is the name of the girls’ hostel. Double and triple sharing bedrooms are available for the students. A parlor facility is also available for the girls’ students. Students can also enjoy their free time by watching television or playing games. The hostels accommodate about 300 girls The hostel mess provides 3 meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

The campus has an extravagant football field and a high-intensity lighted basketball court which is graced by several intra and inter-college tournaments throughout the year.The Badminton court, Volleyball Court (for boys), and Throwball Court (for girls) make the campus life more appealing as it creates a small window for the students to have much-required leisure time. Apart from outdoor activities, certain indoor games facilities like carom, chess, and table tennis are also available for students to enjoy their time after the tedious class hours.

The institute auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 people, acts as a common ground for students and faculty for organizing seminars, conferences, cultural programs, faculty development programs, workshops, etc. Various events and competitions are held in this auditorium throughout the year which gives a variety of exposure to the students in showcasing their talents and in grooming their inborn virtues.

XBS Kolkata classrooms are fully air-conditioned and is equipped with the latest communication system such as PowerPoint projectors, Internet Connections, etc. The institute has 3 types of classrooms they are ordinary classrooms, gallery-type classrooms and amphitheatre type classrooms.

The institute has a cafeteria, which is much more than only about food. It’s a place holding a million memories that remain enshrined in every student’s heart even after they graduate. The café serves both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food. In addition, there is a student mess committee, that always keeps an eye on the quality of food & tries to accommodate the suggestions by of fellow students for a possible change in the food menu.

The gymnasium has all the modern equipment to keep the students fit and healthy. Exercise reduces the risk of any ailment, helps to release stress and fatigue, improves concentration, and helps to build new friendships at the common space. Cultivating a healthy relationship with fitness for personal well-being is essential for every individual.A full-time trainer is also available to guide on personal needs.
