The admission cycle of YTSBM usually follows the academic year, which starts usually in July or August. Though the dates vary every year, the applicants are advised to prepare their applications well in advance, preferably in January or February. Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree from a recognized university for the Master of Management Studies (MMS) program. For the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program, a bachelor's degree with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or at graduation is required.

 Application Process 

Yadavrao Tasgaonkar School of Business Management at Karjat conducts its own process for consideration of the received applications as provided below: -

1. All supporting documents which include photocopies too should accompany with every submitted application forms. A common requirement would generally include these;

•  10th, and 12th mark sheets 
• Certificate from Bachelor's Degree with marksheets. 
• Score Card obtained for the Entrance Test.
• Current Valid Id proof 
• Fresh Pass size Photography

2. Application Fee Payment: An application fee is levied by the institute. The applicant has to pay the fee. Payment through credit card, debit card, and net banking are available as online modes.

3. Entrance Exam: The applicant is required to sit for an entrance exam related to the program of his choice (management entrance exam for MMS, computer aptitude test for MCA).

4. Shortlisting: It selects candidates for the next round of the selection process by considering the entrance exam scores and the academic record.

5. Personal Interview/Group Discussion: The institute may call the selected candidates for a personal interview or group discussion, both, depending on the type of program and selection procedure the institute follows in that particular year.

6. Final Selection: A composite score incorporating academic performance, entrance exam scores, and performance in the interview/group discussion forms the basis of the final selection.

7. Admission Confirmation: Once selected, admission confirmation is done with the payment of the required fee and submission of original documents for verification within a stipulated timeframe.

Degree wise Admission Process

MMS- Master of Management Studies: It is a full-time two year course offered in YTSBM. Admission will be based on the performance in any relevant entrance exam for MMS, plus personal interview and/or group discussion. The Institute seeks candidates having strong analytical skill, leadership qualities, and a high academic background. The approved strength for this programme is 60 students.

MCA (Master of Computer Applications): YTSBM provides full-time MCA over three years. Admission into the MCA programme is given preference based upon scores obtained during a bachelor's degree, mainly Mathematics, and on performance in computer science aptitude test conducted at the college. The Institute conducts interviews based upon the academic performances and their aptitude of handling technical problem solving skills of candidates. Again, as the case of the MMS, there is approved strength of 60 students.
