Eligibility Criteria for UG
The eligibility of criteria for pursuing UG courses in industrial pharmacy is mentioned below. These criteria remain the same for most of the colleges. One should also possess a state domicile to appear in the examinations in the respective states.
The candidate should be at least 17 years old at the time of application.
The maximum age limit for the UG courses is 24 years old.
The candidates must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent conducted by a recognised board or a similar body with a minimum of 45%.
The candidates are required to study English, Physics and Chemistry as the main subjects along with biology or mathematics in their 10+2.
Eligibility criteria for PG
The eligibility criteria for PG is mentioned below. However, the minimum scores required in the qualifying exam may vary depending on different colleges.
The candidate must be a citizen of India and should hold a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. The students with B.Tech and equivalent degrees are not eligible.
The candidate must score a minimum of 60% in the qualifying examinations and should carry the scorecard of GATE, NET and GPAT when needed.
There is no age limit.
Industrial pharmacy entrance exams
At Postgraduate Level
1. Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)
It is an entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency. The admission test is conducted for Industrial Pharmacy graduates interested in the Master's programs. The registration starts from November and exams are conducted in the last week of January.
2. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali
It is a national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER offers Masters and Doctoral degrees to the candidates. The exams are conducted every year in June and July. It falls under the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
At Undergraduate Level
1. NMIMS Programs After Twelfth (NPAT)
NPAT stands for NMIMS Programs After Twelfth. The exams are conducted once a year by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. The mode of examination is online. The institute offers various undergraduate courses for Industrial Pharmacy to eligible students. The candidates should not be above 25 years old and should have completed diploma or 10+2 from a recognised board.
It is a state-level exam conducted by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. The test is held once a year, and the mode of examination is online. There are 1845 Seats offered. The medium of examination is English, and it consists of 100 questions. These are divided equally into 2 sections; Physics and Chemistry.
3. Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test (CG PPHT)
CG PPHT is a state-level exam conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur. The mode of application is online and is conducted once in a year. The number of available seats is 900. The examination duration is 3 hours and 9 minutes with an application fee of Rs. 200.
4. Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE)
It is a state-level examination conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University. The mode of application is online, whereas the mode of UKSEE B. Pharm exam is offline. The medium of examination is Hindi and English.
5. Manipal Entrance Test for Bachelors in Pharmacy (MET Pharmacy)
It is commonly known as MET B. Pharm. The exam is conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The mode of application, as well as examination, is online. The examination is held in over 80 cities in India. The students are offered only two attempts.
6. Telangana State Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET)
It is a state-level examination and is commonly known as TS EAMCET B. Pharm. The mode of application and examination is online. It is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH).
7. Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET B. Pharm). It is a state-level examination for Undergraduate courses. It is commonly known as AP EAMCET B. Pharm. The exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in 45 cities.
8. Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)
OJEE is a state-level exam conducted by OJEEB. It is a computer-based exam. The time allotted to the candidates is 120 minutes. The questions are in MCQ format.
