There are basic requirements to be eligible for various graduate and postgraduate courses in Man Made Fiber Technology. However, the general requirements including percentage may vary from one institute to another.
1. For Undergraduate Manmade Fiber Technology Courses
A student must complete 12th standard from any board.
It is mandatory that students must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, Maths /biology in their 12th standard.
The minimum percentage marks should be 50-55 percent aggregate in 10+2 standard.
Some of the State universities conduct entrance examinations on their own but national level entrance exams like JEE Mains are also conducted nationwide.
Different cutoff lists are released by the universities after which counseling of admission takes place.
2. For Postgraduate Man Made Fiber Technology Courses
For Postgraduate degree, courses related to Man Made Fiber Technology are offered in India.
It is necessary to have a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject.
A candidate needs to score atleast 55% aggregate marks at the graduation level.
Apart from scoring 55% marks at graduation level, some universities also consider cutoff marks of the entrance examinations.
Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE)
It is a computer based entrance examination that is conducted specifically for the students who belong to Uttar Pradesh. UPSEE is conducted in order to check the basic concepts of the students who are applying for various engineering courses in Uttar Pradesh. It is generally held in the middle of September every year.
Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main)
Candidates’ percentile in IIT JEE Mains exam is considered for admissions in various Institutes offering Man Made Fiber Technology Course. It is conducted nationwide. Any student who has completed their 10+2 in PCM, from any part of India can appear in this examination to get admissions in prestigious colleges.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
After having a bachelor’s degree in Man Made Fiber Technology, one can apply for other M. Tech courses that are related to Man Made Fiber Technology i.e. Fiber Science and Technology.
It is advisable to have in-depth knowledge of graduation subjects because those areas are tested in this examination. A percentile is released; those who have cleared the cutoff marks are eligible to get admissions in colleges of high repute.
Both the private and public sectors play an equivalent role in providing job opportunities. Man Made Fiber Textile Industry sector of particular state governments provide the chance to apply for jobs in the public sector.
