Textile Management is a postgraduate course where the candidates will obtain knowledge on different managerial aspects of textile designing in the fashion sector. Here a student can understand different facts about garment production management, creative and attractive design management, several managerial aspects, important problem-solving as well as analytical skills, sales and marketing-related management of textiles, and many more.
Most of the western states in India are where most of the textile factories were founded. There are many public and private universities/colleges that have a course on Textile Management. After the completion of the Textile Management course, students will get job opportunities in different fields. In India, both government and private jobs are available. There is also an option of doing research and higher studies abroad.
Eligibility criteria might differ from college to college. The candidate who is trying to get admission in a particular textile management course must fulfil certain eligibility criteria.
A candidate who wants to take an MBA course in Textile Management must have completed their Bachelor's degree in Textile Management or any other course from any recognised board/institute
They must have scored at least 50% marks during their Bachelor's degree. This percentage is lower for reserved category students.

Entrance Exams for Textile Management
Candidates who are looking to get admission in a Textile Management course must have to qualify at least one entrance exam to be eligible. The admission process and entrance exams for different colleges or institutes are different. Here are some entrance exams through which a student can get admission in any college in a Textile Management course.
CAT (Common Admission Test): CAT is a National level entrance exam which grants the opportunity to take admission into prestigious IIMs and other institutes where this course is available. The total time given to finish this test is three hours. It is a CBT test (computer-based test) which is conducted every year with the joint involvement of 20 IIMs.
MAT (Management Aptitude Test): Conducted 4 times a year, MAT is a National level entrance exam which grants the opportunity to take admission into various prestigious management schools all across India. All India Management Association(AIMA) is the conducting authority of this test. A student who is going to write the exam needs to answer 200 questions in this test. He/she will be given a maximum of two and a half years to finish the test. There are five sections in this entire test. Those are as follows: Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Language Comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, and Indian & Global Environment.
XAT (Xavier's Aptitude Test): XAT is a National Level entrance exam conducted by the XLRI Jamshedpur. Through this exam, aspirants might get admission into the Xavier Association of Management Institutes(XAMI) and also into some of the other best Business schools in India. In this exam, a candidate needs to answer a maximum of 100 questions, where he/she will be given a total of three hours to finish the test. Questions might come from different topics like Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.
CMAT (Common Management Admission Test): CMAT is an online test conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency), India. This is a national level entrance exam conducted to grant admission in different top-rated institutes all over India. Questions in this test usually come from four different sections, such as Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English, and General Awareness. Apart from those tests, some institutes conduct their university level entrance exams. Those institutes are as follows:
