EAMCET is not conducted in West Bengal but it conducts West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). The candidate must be a citizen of India. The candidate must have passed 10+2 or appear with Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects in the qualifying examination. General category candidates must have scored minimum 45% aggregate marks in the three compulsory subjects in 10+2th (or equivalent) examination. Reserved category candidates must have scored minimum 40% marks. The candidates must have also qualified English with minimum 30% marks. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal. The candidates from other states are also eligible to appear for WBJEE but such candidates will get admission under general category even if he/she belongs to reserved category. There are limited seats for candidates from other state. The minimum age to be eligible to appear for WBJEE 2021 is 17 years as on December 31, 2021 or must have been born on or before December 31, 2004. No upper age limit. For admission to Marine Engineering, then the candidates upper age limit is 25 years of age as on December 31, 2021. You also need to fulfill the institute specific eligibility criteria.
