Given force of rope at free end = P

Given Mass of block = M

Given mass of rope = m

Let the force exerted by the rope on block = T

Let the common acceleration be = a

For block,(force),, T=Ma

for rope ,(force) ,,P - T=ma

=P-Ma = ma

=P=(M+m)a

=a=P/(M+m)

We have to find T,,,, So,,T=M*(a)

= T=MP/(M+m)
