Correct Answer: 15
Solution : The average speed (including stoppages) = 45 km/hr Distance = Speed × Time taken So in 1 hour, distance travelled = 45 km The average speed (excluding stoppages) = 60 km/hr At this speed, time is taken by bus to travel 45 km = $\frac{45}{60}=\frac{3}{4}$ hours = 45 minutes So at a speed of 60 km/hr, the bus can travel a distance of 45 km every 45 minutes. ⇒ For every hour the bus stops for (60 – 45) = 15 minutes Hence, the correct answer is 15.
