Hi

Yes , you can definitely become an IAS officer even if you choose Arts after your 10th.

This is because,

To become an IAS officer one needs to clear UPSC civil services examination and to be eligible for that one needs to be a graduate in any discipline .

So, it doesn't matter whether you choose arts commerce or Science for 10+2 , and also you free to can choose any degree for your graduation after 10 + 2 .

Moreover, in comparison to  other streams, arts is more beneficial for you if you want to become an IAS officer as in arts you get to study History ,economics ,political science etc which are a part of UPSC syllabus

So, first you need to complete your 12th then get admission in graduation and along with your graduation you can start your preparation for UPSC civil services examination which consists of three stages prelims mains and interview following the below tips:-

*Make a routine or a time table and try to religiously follow it , take short breaks in between your studies.

*Read newspaper daily and keep yourself updated with the current affairs

* take short breaks in between your studies, studying continuously can be brain tiring and it becomes difficult to focus and study with concentration, so take breaks to relax and refresh your brain otherwise you won't be able to retain whatever you read.

*Make short notes for each subject, it  will help you in your revisions a lot as syllabus is wide

*Set daily goals like I have to cover these many topics today, weekly goals like I have to  cover these chapters this week and practice their questions too, by the end of this week and similarly set monthly goals to cover the syllabus and meet them without any fail.

*Revise :- there's no point of preparing for the exam if you couldn't recall anything in the UPSC Examination so you should stress on revision as well.

* Your mains examination is in written, so you need to work your speed and also work on improving how to present the knowledge you have on paper, so answer writing practicing should be also your priority
