yes, you can give JEE MAINS after your +2 board examination with one year gap.the candidate should have passed in the +2 board examination of 2017,2018 or the students who appearing for 2019 can also give jee mains.

Definitely yes, you can take a gap of one year after 12th for the preparation of JEE. It can be beneficial for you as you can concentrate completely on the exams without any disturbances but The pressure of preparing after taking a gap of one year is tremendous. Preparation phase can sometimes be very frustrating and you might not enjoy the fact that you are appearing for entrance exams while most of your batch mates have started their first year in college.
