difference between JOSSA and CSAB ??
Dear Aspirant!!
The JoSSA counselling stands for Joint Seat Allocation Authority and the CSAB stands for Central Seat Allocation Board. Now the function of CSAB begins after JoSSA, as the following steps take place
- After you qualify JEE Mains and JEE Advanced you are eligible for JoSSA counselling
- You are alloted seats to IITs, NITs
- If you do not receive a seat through JoSSA there is another round conducted by CSAB ( eligibility remains same as JoSSA)
- You seat allocation will happen.
Hope it helps!!!
Hi aspirant,
Both Jossa and all CSAB are the counselling conducting authorities based on the candidates performance in the JEE main and advanced examination. However there are some significant difference between two. Jossa conducts counselling to offer seats in NIT, IIT, IIIT and GIFT colleges. In Jossa counselling various reservation and categories are taken into consideration.
CSAB counselling is conducted only once the Jossa counselling is over and only vacant seats are available for grabs. In this counselling only CRL rank is taken into consideration for seat allotment.
You can find more information about both by searching name of counselling process followed by careers 360.
Hope it helps!
