Hello,
In 2008 the department was fluid mechanics was renamed to aerospace engineering and applied mechanics department. The intake of students was started from 2010-2011. Recently in 2017 the department started the B.Tech program in aerospace engineering. So the department is considerably new to other departments.

Placement record of IIEST Shibpur is good..Nowdays, aerospace engineering is on demand and it has more scope in foreign countries..You can go with aerospace engineering in IIEST SHIBPUR.
