HELLO TUSHAR CHATURVEDI

THANKS FOR INQUIRING

All medical institutions consider NEET scores for admission. NEET is one of the most competitive exams in the country as the ratio of candidates taking the test is higher than the seats available. Getting a seat in the top medical colleges requires a good well planned strategy. As the competition for the exam is increasing year-by-year, you should plan a good strategy on how to prepare for NEET Exam to get a seat in the top medical colleges in the country. As per CBSE, the exam date for NEET 2019 is 05 May, 2019 and it shall be conducted through offline mode.

All preparing candidates must follow these 5 steps to crack NEET 2018 and see through their dream of getting into medical colleges:

1. PREVIOUS YEAR QUESTION PAPERS/SAMPLE PAPERS:

You might be good in conceptualizing your answers but you may not know the way in which the questions might be asked. Practicing previous year’s question papers or sample papers would definitely help overcome such difficulties. You can always get previous year’s NEET question papers online for free. You can also practice them for other medical entrance exams like JIPMER, AIPMT, and AIIMS etc. Try to complete the exam within the stipulated time. If you’re not able to complete it during your first attempt, try to improve significantly in your subsequent trials. It would eventually lead to a better performance during the actual exam.

2. Create A Realistic Timetable

Following a fixed timetable helps you to stay focused on your goal during your NEET Preparation. Do not include long hours of study period in your time-table. Include little intervals between the study hours..You should always plan your study so that you can cover new topics every day and not repeat them. Set a daily goal or a daily routine and stick to it so that you can complete the whole syllabus within a short period of time.

3. STRATEGICAL APPROACH:

You have 180 minutes to answer 180 questions i.e. 1 minute per question on an average. However, some questions would take lesser than a minute to answer. Try to answer such questions quick so that you get time to concentrate on the problematic ones involving calculation.

4. MAKE NOTES WHILE READING:

Taking notes while reading improves your memory and helps you retain concepts better, for a longer period of time. Use reference books if required. These notes will help you retain better as you can skim through the important points for a last minute revision.

5. QUESTION SELECTION:

For NEET 2019, every correct answer carries 4 marks, and for every wrong answer 1 mark is deducted. Select your questions affectively to avoid negative marking. First attempt questions to which you know the answer well and then attempt tougher questions. This way you can save time and also avoid losing marks due to negative marking.
