I am a b.tech(ECE).Wan to pursue higher studies in ECE.Should I go for PSUs and then go for MS abroad or should I go for M.Tech in good IIT
I thin it would be a good option if you go for PSU and do 2-3 year ofjob and then go for higher studies abroad. But it totally depneds on your interest. Since, many who have just graduated will not know exactly what field to pursue in ECE. After doing job in industry you will be able to find the future technologies and issues faced by your field and accordingly you can focus on that while your MS,
There are really great colleges Abroad:
Although MIT,Stanford Oxford, Cambridge are really hard to get into and have high fees structure.
There are some really great colleges apart from these like
Rwth Aachen, TUM, TU Berlin, University of Stuttgart and KIT -Germany
NUS, NTU - Singapore
Tsingua, Peking -China
HKSTU -hong kong
University of Tokyo -Japan
UCB, Georgia Tech, University of Arizona, UMich, Univerity of southern California, University of Southern Ilinois etc - USA
I would say you should consider your interest and potential because whether you want to go for PSUs/IITs or not it totally depends on your choice but as per my opinoin all the options will be working for you. So better to prepare for Gate and get good score then apply for PSUs if in worst case, you dont get recruited there then you can take admission in M.Tech in NITs/IITs (if you meet the cut off ) and in case you dont get IITs or any other good institutes then below are few universities mentioned which are considered to be good for M.Tech so you can apply there-
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Stanford University
University of California, Berkeley (UCB)
University of Cambridge
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU)
Tsinghua University
Harvard University
Imperial College London
ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology etc.
Note : As you there are all options openn for you so it is advisable to focus on one thing as many options will be confusing you, so sit calmly and then decide what exactly you want to do in future and accordingly go ahead.
Good Luck!!!
