As per your query, I would like to tell you that cat generally happen in the nov dec for the following intake , like for the intake of 2022 cat will be conducted in Nov 2021 . So if you have completed graudation in 2021 and willing to give cat in 2022 which means for the intake of 2023 . Their will be 2years gap in your studies from 2021-2023

CAT exam is conducted every year in the  month of November by Indian Institute of management. CAT 2021 is likely to be conducted in the month of November 2021 in online mode (computer based mode). If you write CAT 2022 then it will be considered a one year gap as you can write the CAT in same year in which you are completing your bachelor's degree but you are writing it next year, so it will be called one year gap. As you are going to pass in August 2021 , so you are automatically taking a drop after that.

So at the time of CAT 2022 it will be considered as your two year drop instead of just one.

But if you have a job to do during that period then it shouldn't be counted as a drop. Only condition is that the job should be of full time. No part time jobs or internships are allowed.
