Firstly to get a seat in prestigious IIT's you have to qualify for IIT JEE Mains & Advance Examination.

As of now, you need to take science (maths compulsory subject) in your 11th grade.

Join some good coaching institute for your IIT JEE MAINS & Advance Preparation.

Get a good score and rank and you will get into an IIT.

STAGE 2

After completing your engineering or in final year of your engineering you can appear for UPSC CIVIL Services Examination. It is recommended to start preparing for UPSC during your college days.

Hi student,

I would like to add something to the previous answer. After you have your degree in software engineering, you can go for UPSC examination preparation. When you qualify UPSC examination with a top ranking ( under 100), then you can get selected for IAS. Also, you can start preparing for UPSC examination from your first year of engineering itself, by studying little bit of books for UPSC preparation like NCERTS of class 6 to class 12 of geography, civics and history. This will help you to better prepare for IAS.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

Hello Ayush,

To become software engineer you have to give JEE entrance examination as all the top institutes such as IITs conduct their admission process based on score of JEE Advance.

In order to appear for JEE advance you have to first qualifiy JEE main .So I'll suggest you to start your preparations for JEE from now only as the syallbus for JEE is similar as that of 12 th Sciences. Also to become software engineer it's must to take mathematics as optional subject in science stream. If you choose elective subject as IT or computer science from 11 th then it will surely help you for your engineering.

For preparations of JEE Careers 360 provides a crash course which contains number of video lectures as well as test series which will help you to understand each and every concept throughly. To register for this course please visit following link,
