i m getting 42 EE in SC category in GATE 2018... cn i get any psu or iit this year?????
Although the official cut-off marks for GATE2018 will be declared by IIT in mid-March 2018, according to previous year cut-offs and toughness of paper this year following are the predictions for the cut-off:
Mechanical Engineering Branch:
- General - 30 to 32
- OBC - 27 to 29
- SC/ST/PWD - 18 to 20
ECE Branch:
- General - 24 TO 26
- OBC - 22 TO 24
- SC/ST/PWD - 16 TO 18
CSE Branch:
- General - 24 TO 26
- OBC - 22 TO 24
- SC/ST/PWD - 16 TO 18
Electrical Branch:
- General - 24 TO 26
- OBC - 22 TO 24
- SC/ST/PWD - 16 TO 18
According to this, you will easily get qualified. Although it is tough to get admission in good IIT, I think you should explore other options and wait for the actual result. I think you can easily get other PSU's according to cut-offs.

As you are getting 42 marks under the SC category it is really a good score if you compare accordingly to quota wise.
Ao yes you can get 3-4 PSUs and there are also chances that you can get IIT and NIT colleges.
