The following are the steps of autophagy
- First the cell is isolated by double layer membrane
- Then the phogosphere vesicles elongate
- Then the vesicles bursts to release enzymes by which autophagocytosis takes place
- Then the remnant gets attached to a lysosome which form autolysosome which completes the degradation.
