My home state is gujarat,so can i get cs branch in svnit surat with a nta score of 96 in jee mains January attempt?

Hi Om,

NTA score is also called as the percentile. A percentile of 96 means that the marks you have scored in JEE Mains is greater than that of 96% of students that have appeared for the examination and you are behind 4% of the students. So nearly 9 lakhs have appeared for the examination so your rank will be 4% of 9 lakhs i.e. nearly 36,000.

According to the previous cut-off trends the closing rank for the Home Sate in SVNIT for Computer Science engineering branch is around 8,000 in round 7. So it will be difficult for you to take seats in the CS branch of SVNIT by Home State qouta.
