You had mentioned that you want to pursue B.Tech in computer Science. For having a great career, you need to do is from the best college possible. For this you will need to give an entrance examination like JEE Mains, BITSAT e.t.c. In most of these exams, you will be asked questions from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Sometimes few questions may come in some exam. So you basically need to focus on Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Being a B.Tech computer science student myself, I would also like to suggest that have a strong base in computer Science as it will help you very much once you are in the college.

To be a computer science engineer, you have to either choose to earn a diploma certificate or a degree course. While a diploma takes three years, the degree course will take four years. After this you can earn a B.E./B.Tech. or diploma in computer science.

You can also earn a master's degree upon completing the degree course. Also, you can take up a degree course after earning a diploma.

Focus on course work.



Study lot of discrete maths, linear algebra, algorithms & some machine learning



Do a lot of programming competitions



Try to master at least two programming languages, preferably one very low level language like C, one relatively high level language like Python, and get familiar with non-imperative paradigms of programming. More the merrier.



Use Linux, and learn to use shell effectively



Understand how internet works, learn a few basic web development technologies & using them design your own home page



Stay updated with computer science world - both academia & industry

A CS degree just gets you the first job interview. Enthusiasm for the creative medium is what gets you the first job, and keeps you up to date in your career.

To pursue your career in computer science amd engineering you need to have a logical and analytical brain .

You should good command over mathematics (matrices , formulas ) etc..

In btech 1st year you will learn basic programming languages like c language which is strong base.

Be perfect in that can take you to greater heights .

If possible learn some basics of c language before you join the college.
