Hello Aspirant,

I hope you are doing well.

The NIFT entrance test is held by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to shortlist candidates for admission to its design programmes. More than 20,000 students take the NIFT exam each year.

Considered to be a pioneer in fashion education, NIFT has its headquarters in New Delhi . Apart from this city, NIFT has domestic centres at Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Shillong, Raebareli and Srinagar.

The format of the NIFT entrance test for BDes and MDes programme admissions is three-tiered. Candidates must take the Creative Ability Test (CAT) first, followed by a General Ability Test, as part of the NIFT entrance test 2020 for BDes and MDes admissions (GAT). The Situation Test is the last admission stage for BDes students, whereas the GD/PI round is for MDes students. Candidates for BFTech course admissions, on the other hand, must just take the GAT exam, whilst candidates for MFTech and MFM programmes must take both the GAT and the GD/PI admission round.

2020 NIFT Eligibility Criteria

The requirements for NIFT admissions vary depending on the course. In order to take the NIFT entrance exam, candidates must meet the NIFT eligibility criteria 2020.
