The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a medical college which is managed by the Indian Armed Forces.
A total of 150 students are admitted for Undergraduate MBBS course, 117 boys, 28 girls and 5 NRI. Admission is on the basis of National Eligibility and Entrance Test(NEET) followed by an interview. 10 seat is reserved for ST/SC candidates. Students are not allowed to be married or to marry during the course and are liable to serve in the medical services of the Armed forces, on successful completion of MBBS.
PROCEDURE TO GET ADMISSION IN AFMC: -
1- while applying for the NEET tick on the option 'apply for participating the university'.
2- After arrival of NEET hall ticket, go to AFMC site and register and fill in your NEET roll no.
3- crack NEET with 490+( in case of boys) or 540+ (in case of girls).
4- You'd be called for an interview by AFMC.
5- Give TOLER exams (80 marks- 40 questions ; 2 marks per questions, 1/2 negative marks for wrong answer).
6- Psychometric test - CBT based test; there's no right answers, only your answers are asked (be honest while answering, interviewers might ask you in interview regarding the test).
7- Finally ther is Interview, Which consists of 50 marks. At least 5-7 officers are sitting in front of you, they experience with all kinds of the people so you better not lie or you'd be rejected.
8- final merit is calculated on the base of (NEET+TOELR) /4 + interview) marks. Additional marks are given for ncc quouta and army quota.
9- separate merit list of boys and girls are prepared.
10- The students from merit list are called for strict medical examination (checkups).
11- After medical examination if you are decleard as fit, you are selected.

In order to study in military or army medical college, you need to take NEET examination after completing your 12th standard exam through a recognised board.
