Which was better choice of carrer IAS or IIT?

Well my friend these are two different things. IIT provides you with Btech degree and on the other hand IAS is public service. A very clear thing is there :



Have you ever seen any IAS Officer trying to obtain a degree of MBA from IIM or any top university after becoming an IAS ?

I have seen lots of IITian and IIMian preparing for Civil Service Examination even after getting placements atvery highpackages from their campus and doing job in that particular MNC .



Once you are in IIT, you can always earn well and maintain your tag as an IIT Engineer. But to become an IAS officer, you will have to prepare for the exam, take risks with your career. And even if you clear, the professional life is going to be very challenging.



To give you a quick example, there are your fellow IITians who can only become professors later in their lives. There are some who can only become managers only (those who like to get things done and don't want to toil themselves). There will be few who can survive as police officers (IPS). And there will be few who can be anything.

IAS stands for indian administrative services

both are incomparable as both belong to different fields one is for engineering and other is for civil services

both have different entrance criteria

at the end it totally depends on your interest

Hi, IIT is an esteemed institute for engineering. IAS is Indian Administrative Service. Regarding choice of career, it completely depends on your interest. If you want to pursue engineering and earn more you can choose to study at IIT. For this you need to write IIT JEE for btech/ GATE for Mtech. To be IAS you need to crack UPSC exam. You can choose to write IAS at any point after your graduation.
