Psychology as a career has some good sides and bad sides. There is a lot of scope and job options. The income is good too, if you get into a good institution and depends upon the region too. Your personality is enhanced. You have to work on your communication skills which helps in all spheres of life.

To get a good job you have to put in a lot of years into the study of it. In a country like India, many are not aware of such therapists and many don't go to them because society doesn't approve of it.

The most important point to note is that while dealing with clients suffering with different psychological problems and depression, your mind and EQ should be so strong that their problem shouldn't become yours. People's depression shouldn't depress you.
