12 MonthsChild psychology helps to understand children’s physical and mental development, as well as normal and abnormal behaviours. If identified early, child psychologists can help detect the root cause of problems such as learning issues, hyperactivity, anxiety, extreme shyness and fears, and help children overcome these problems, and also in cases of child abuse etc., can help them work through early childhood trauma.
Child psychologists can also help to prevent, evaluate, and diagnose developmental delays or abnormalities such as autism. It studies the interaction of a few main areas of development, viz., physical, cognitive, social and emotional development.
B.A./B.Sc.(H) Psychology/Applied Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Home Science, Sociology, Social Work, with a minimum of 55% marks (B+ grade).
