Darjeeling Hills University is a state university located in the bountiful town of Darjeeling, West Bengal. Being a relatively young university set amidst the Himalayas, DHU offers postgraduate specializations in many branches. 3. Payment of application fee online is the second stage of online application. The fee can be paid online from the university's website. However, the fees are different as per the student's program and category.

Degree wise Admission Process

M.Sc Mathematics: DHU has an intake of 40 students for the approved M.Sc Mathematics program. It is probably open to the students who get merit in their BSc in Mathematics or any related stream. The programme aims to enhance advanced mathematical knowledge and research skills.

MA Mass Communication This program shall have an intake of 20 students, targeting first-time media professionals. The selection criteria might include the applicant's bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communication or allied courses and academic background or experience in media.

MA English The MA English program is of 40 seats. Those who have a BA in English or any related humanities are also admitted into the program. The specialization runs on advanced literary studies and critical analysis.

MA Nepali The intake for this is 40 candidates. Intended for students who have a sound background in the language and literature, this is open to candidates who hold a bachelor's degree in Nepali or, alternatively, whose language competence can be shown demonstrably to be up to standard.

MA History: The intake of the MA History program is approved at 40 students. This course is available for the graduates with a bachelor's degree in History or other social science disciplines. Advanced historical research and analysis are also given importance to the program.

MA Political Science: This course has an intake of 40 students, and the graduates in Political Science or allied social sciences are taken in. Admission will be highly based on academic performance at the undergraduate level.
