Doctor Of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Sanskrit and Lexicography is a full-time postgraduate course offered by Deccan College of Post Graduate and Research Institute, Pune Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should pass the M.A. in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit with a minimum of 55% marks or B+ or an equivalent grade from a recognized University. Relaxation may be made regarding the percentage of marks by 5% in the case of Reserved Categories (sc, st, ph).

Admission Details

Admission to the Ph.D. program shall be done through an Entrance Test. Students who have passed GATE/NET/SET? M.PhiIIJRF examination in the relevant subject of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGCIICARIICMRI DBT will be exempted from the Entrance Test. The concerned Departmental Committee may give an exemption for the Ph.D. entrance test and coursework to a deserving candidate. While giving the exemption, the Departmental Committee may consider research work earlier in Ph.D./experience done by the candidate. if a candidate already holds a Ph.D. degree in a related subject from a recognized.
