GJU Hisar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology Infrastructure and Facilities include hostels in the GJUST. 4 hostels are reserved for boys. Hostels are assigned to students on the basis of space availability. All hostels are fitted with better infrastructure including electric geysers, water coolers. Both hostels also have mess and canteen facilities that provide quality and hygienic food to students. Wardens are also in each hostel to keep the guidelines and restrictions in the hostels. CCTVs and security guards are there to maintain stability inside the building.

The institute has a team of experienced doctors and pharmacists available 24 X 7 for the primary treatment of students with Medicine and Ambulance facilities.

Guru Jambheshwar University Library was founded in October 1995 and housed in a circular designed three-story large building. The name of the library is placed before the name of great Indian Jurist, Economist, Politician and Social reformer Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The seating capacity of the University Library is 400 seats. The Library runs in two shifts i. e. 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. and 11.00 A.M. to 7.00 P.M. and remains open on Saturdays and Sundays also. The timing of Night Reading Hall is 8 A.M. to 12 Midnight, however during examinations, it remains open ROUND THE CLOCK. The Library recorded 143834 visitors during the period January to December 2017. During this period total issue for home lending were 40653 books and total 94011 books were consulted by the members of the library.

The University Sports Department was established in the year 1996. The entire Sports Complex is spread in an area of 40 Acres. The Sports Complex has one Hall for Badminton with Two Synthetic Badminton Courts, one Hall for Table-Tennis with Four Tables, Carom board and, Chess, one Conditioning Hall (Men) for 13 station Multi-Gym, one Conditioning Hall (Women) 06 six station, Yoga and Weight lifting, three half cemented Cricket pitch, one ground each for Football, Hand ball, Cricket and Athletic Track of 400 meter and three Volleyball grounds. In addition, the Sports Complex has two cemented Basketball courts with lights, two Volleyball courts with fencing and lights, two synthetic and one cemented Lawn Tennis courts with Lights and fencing. Timings for Sports activities in summer season are Morning 05:30 A.M. to 08:30 A.M. Evening 04:30 P.M. to 08:30 P.M and winter season Morning 06:00 A.M. to 09:00 A.M. Evening 04:00 P.M. to 08:00 P.M for University students and Staff Members. The Sports Equipments/ kits are issued to the students as well as to the University Employees during tournaments. The 15 Institutes were affiliated to the University of three District i.e. Sirsa, Fatehabad and Hisar. The Inter College tournaments in various games organized by this University and some of them were also given to affiliated institutes. The University team participated in Various games like Chess, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Hand ball, Cross-Country, Weight lifting, Volleyball shooting & smashing, Cricket, and Annual Athletic Meet. Sports facilities for indoor games are also being created in the Boys and Girls Hostels. Adventure Sports activities are also conducted in various events i.e. Skiing Course, Motor Bike Tour and Trekking etc.

The Computer Center is well equipped with computers with internet facilities and specialised resources and applications that meet all the needs of students, academic researchers, faculty members.

The university has a Cafeteria with the facility of a big dining hall, kitchen, store and office on the ground floor. One big hall is also on the first floor for students activities and functions. The cafeteria has a capacity to attend 125 customers for refreshment, lunch etc. The cafeteria also provides refreshment, breakfast & lunch facilities for special programme like tea party etc. Junk food and tobacco items are not sold in the university cafeteria.

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology Infrastructure and Facilities include C.H. Ranbir Singh Auditorium, which has been built inside the university campus. All significant features and services are carried out inside the auditorium, which has the capacity to accommodate a huge number of participants.

The university has a wi-fi facility for students.
