The Faculty of Education has conceived and developed a unique B.Ed. Program to train the teachers to meet the challenges of emerging trends and competitive environment. The curriculum and pedagogy adopted are exploratory and reflective in nature. An applied approach to learning is followed keeping in view the national and international standards of education. Emphasis is given to the holistic development of the students to meet the ever-changing demands of education through the two-year full-time program.

The duration of the program is two years which comprises four semesters of coursework and teaching practice.

Note: Seats will be allotted through State Government B.Ed Counselling through CG Pre-B.Ed Entrance Examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Pass in Graduation / Post Graduation (Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities disciplines) with 50% and above aggregate marks. Candidates applying for B.Ed Program must be qualified in CG Pre-B.Ed 2019 Entrance Examination conducted by Chhattisgarh (As prescribed by SCERT, Chhattisgarh).
Relaxation for SC/ST and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/ State Government.
Final year degree students awaiting results can also apply.

Admission Details

Admission Criteria

The selection of applicants for all programs is made through application and interview. While evaluating applicants for admission, due weightage is given to academic distinction, awards in sports/cultural events, debates, quizzes, and other extra co-curricular activities.
Interview

Upon receiving the application, the applicant will be intimated about the Interview Schedule. The applicants will have to go through a personal interview at the campus. This is to determine the applicants' attitude and motivation to pursue the program. Original certificates and a Domicile certificate should be produced for verification at the time of the interview. The original certificates will be returned after verification.

The admission decision will be communicated after the interview process. All the selected students will be required to pay the admission fee towards confirmation of the seat.

Special Reservation

There shall be a special provision for admission of applicants belonging to the State of Chhattisgarh in any course of ICFAI University, Raipur, which shall not be less than 25 (twenty-five) percent of seats in each course/discipline subject to the applicants meeting the minimum qualifying requirements referred to above.

Seats remaining unfilled under special reservation may be filled up by allotting the same to applicants belonging to Open Category.
