Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), Wayanad was established in December 2010 by the Government of Kerala. The KVASU Wayanad is approved by UGC. A total of 49 courses across the diploma, UG, PG and doctoral levels are offered at this university. KVASU Wayanad offers courses in the field of veterinary, medicine and allied sciences.
The courses offered in Kerela Veterinary and Animal Sciences University includes B.Sc, B.V.Sc, M.S, M.V.Sc, PGD and many other courses are offered by the university. Admissions to the B.V.Sc Animal Health programme and to the B.Sc programme based on the merit of the entrance test followed by a round of counselling. For M.V.Sc. admissions in KVASU Wayanad, candidates have to appear for an entrance exam followed by a round of interview and for M.S admissions, only entrance exam is required. Candidates will have to appear for an entrance test which will be followed by an interview round for KVASU Wayanad Ph.D courses.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides good facilities. A huge auditorium is available in our college. A huge playground is available in our college. Labs are equipped with air-conditioners. Classrooms are non-air-conditioned.

The University possesses 3 major departments including the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the Department of Dairy Science and, the Department of poultry science and holds eight constituent colleges in various districts of Kerala.
