Medical Radiology and Advanced Imaging Technology is a health profession concerned with the direct administration of radiation, primarily x-rays, in disease diagnosis and injury assessment and further treatment. Starting from the humble beginnings of plain film techniques, a wide array of imaging methods have since bben introduced using Conventional and Digital X-rays, ultrasound, Radionuclide, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, CT (computed tomography), MRI, Nuclear medicine, Angiography, etc.
These professionals are at the heart of modern medicine.Modern diagnostic radiography and Medical Imaging forms an integral part of medical practice, both in making the diagnosis and in treatment.
A candidate must have Passed with 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of SC/ST category) in Diploma Examination in appropriate program of Paramedical Sciences recognized by any State technical council.
