Allahabad University Facilities

University of Allahabad, Allahabad offers all of the necessary facilities and infrastructure for students and faculty members. Some of the Allahabad University facilities include a central library, separate hostels for boys and girls, classrooms, canteen and so on. For recreational purposes, the varsity has an auditorium for functions like seminars, guest lectures or any other recreational activities. University of Allahabad has a computer centre for the growth and development of teaching, research, and other related activities in addition to the work relating to the administration, finance, examination, admission of the university.

For sports enthusiasts, there is a sports board that works to improve the physical health of students at university by providing facilities for games and sports as well as hosting competitions and tournaments. Gymnasium, laboratories, medical facilities, Wi-Fi and guest rooms are the other Allahabad University facilities available on the campus.

Boys Hostel
The university offers a separate hostel facility for boys. Hostel rooms are spacious and ventilated. Further, students are provided with wifi, provision for hot water etc
Girls Hostel
The university has separate hostels for girls. The girls' hostel rooms have proper ventilation and are spacious. The students are also offered facilities like 24x7 power supply, wifi, etc.
Medical/Hospital
A senior medical officer manages the university's health centre, which is open for the medical welfare of its staff and students
Gym
University has Gym for girls for improving fitness and confidence.
Library
Allahabad University has a central library which was established to cater to the needs of the students, research scholars, and teachers of the University. The library is well-equipped and has a collection of books, journals, magazines, etc.
Sports
The Sports Board are to promote physical well being of the University students in general, by providing facilities for games and sports and by organizing competition and tournaments. Keeping in mind, the aims and objects of the activities of the Board are planned.
I.T Infrastructure
Allahabad University has modern computer labs for students. The labs have updated computers with rapid internet connection and wifi. The facilities are available, and they may also provide assistance with data analysis, research, etc
Cafeteria
The university has a canteen on the campus for the students and faculty members. The food offered is delicious, healthy and affordable.
Auditorium
The university has an auditorium for events like seminars, guest lectures or any other recreational activity.
Alumni Associations
The University of Allahabad Alumni Associations has been set up to extend the current alumni database of the University. The active involvement of the Alumni, their suggestions regarding improvement in the quality of teaching and research and their generous support towards the creation of corpus fund for the general development of the University shall be very useful in coming years.
Wifi
The entire University campus including Hostels is made Wi-Fi.
Laboratories
The university has all the departmental laboratories which are well-equipped with modern facilities to allow practical experience for students
Guest Room/Waiting Room
Allahabad University also has a guest room on the campus for the visiting professors and student family members.
Physical Challenged Student
The university has 80% of the building is designed for handicapped students

College Infrastructure

Oral college infrastructure is good but but also not updated as per current need for the students as it has old buildings but the education is more important than infrastructures so the education provided by University is good.

Overall a good college.

College Infrastructure

University of Allahabad for under graduation course in bachelors of commerce is good it is not very well updated to current reach but okay for the fees charged by University. So I recommend as education as more important than infrastructure of college.

When will University of Allahabad will continue to conduct regular classes

Hello,

As per the University’s notification, regular (offline) classes will resume for postgraduate students from February 9, 2025, and for undergraduate students from February 14, 2025, after the online teaching period concludes. All lectures, tutorials, and seminars will be held in person at respective departmental venues. Offline attendance is mandatory unless otherwise directed, and virtual sessions will be discontinued for these programmes. Students should consult departmental notices for room allocations and time tables.
