Kindly mention your college so that I can refer and tell you. According to me the nowadays the universities in india are doing great you hardly find colleges with poor communication skills and english skills. So don't worry about 95 percent of the colleges have good english.

Kalyani University takes admission for various courses on the basis of merit list prepared from 10+2 score and also on the basis of entrance examination like WBJEE.

For admission to B.Sc. courses in different streams like Biotechnology, steps are given below :-

• Admission to these courses will be on merit basis as per the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination.
• Merit lists will be prepared for different courses on the basis of aggregate marks( best 5 excluding environmental studies) obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination.
• Admission will be done on the basis of the merit list according to the intake capacity of the university.

see from job prospect and career opportunities , presidency and kalyani university is best among the colleges you have mentioned. however in data science related work a master degree is necessary as far industry standards, also you may appear in ssc cgl statistical officer exams, so my preference go for kalyani university 5 years integrated msc in statistics course.

see data science and statistics have some similarities , but the career growth of view data science is better option then statistics, since it has some programming languages is added in syllabus, ilead is affiliated by makaut, kolkata, and according to students review has excellent placement record, almost 70% students get placed and have roles as data analytics, data scientist positions.

The University of Kalyani offers admission to M.Tech courses in Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering Course. The admission process can be checked online via the official website of the university.

Candidates are required to fulfill either of the following eligibility criteria in order to enroll themselves:

• B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. or Electronics & Instrumentation Engg. or Electronics & Communication Engg. or Information Technology
• 1st class in B. Tech./B.E. (50% for SC /ST, 54% for OBC) in Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Science & Technology/ Information Technology
• 1st class MCA ( 45% for SC/ST, for 54% for OBC ) ( Preceded by B.Sc. with Honours (45% marks ) in Physics/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronic Science ) or 1st class BCA (Marks 45% for SC / ST and 54% for OBC) or any B.E./B. Tech)
• 1st class M.Sc. (45% for SC / ST, 54% for OBC) in Computer Science or equivalent degrees

YES ! , PG admissions in Engineering Institutions are done on the basis of GATE scores, followed by written test/interview(in most of the IITs). But in NITs it is done only on the basis of GATE scores. If your GATE is in ECE then you are eligible for M Tech admissions in ECE. GATE does not prohibit an EE graduate from writing GATE examination in ECE.

But as you mentioned a particular University then you have to ask them because some of the universities does not allow these system.
