Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/ District/ School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/ Govt. of India.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with 45% Marks. Or
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory/ elective subject Or
  • Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/ Inter University/State Competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/ District/ School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India. Or
  • Bachelor’s degree with participation in International competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in National/ Inter-University Competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/ AIU/IOA/ SGFI/Govt. of India. Or
  • Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches).

The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government is applicable.

Admission Details

Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the Entrance Test with due weightage for physical fitness and other proficiency.

1. Admission will be made in order of merit on the basis of entrance test

2. Rankings in entrance test will be made out of 100 marks

3. Minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test will qualify a candidate to be included in the ranking of the scores.

4. Distribution of marks in entrance test (maximum 100 marks) will be made on the basis of:

a. Physical Fitness Test (Candidates to appear at their own responsibility and in sports attires) - 50 Marks

b. Written Test - 50 Marks.
