Aarya-Veer College of Engineering and Technology, Rajkot Admission Process

Aarya-Veer College of Engineering and Technology, Rajkot,  is a premier institution of technical education in Gujarat. The college conducts a well-founded and fair admission procedure for identification of the deserving candidates for its engineering programs. Admission of the students to the Aarya-Veer College is mainly based on performance in the national and state level entrance examinations so as to select the most meritorious among them. The college accepts two major entrance examinations for admission-National Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET). The basis of admission to the B.Tech programs is clearly from the merit made in these examinations. At the national level, JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), while GUJCET is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board at the state level. 

For the forthcoming academic year, JEE Main dates are to be announced. However, the city intimation slip is expected to be available from January 2, 2025. The application window for GUJCET shall be open from December 16, 2024, to January 7, 2025, for the next academic year. Students are advised to keep it in mind and prepare accordingly. The eligibility criteria for admission include, in general, the successful completion of the +2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Detailed percentage criteria may vary and will be mentioned in the official admission notification.

Application Process

The application process for the Aarya-Veer College of Engineering and Technology consists of the following:

1. Entrance Exam: The candidates should necessarily appear either for JEE Main or for GUJCET. For JEE Main, the application is online and is made through the official NTA website. GUJCET applications are submitted via the official GUJCET portal.

2. Result Declaration: After the conduct of the entrance exams, the candidates have to wait for the declaration of their results. The results for the JEE Main exam are usually declared on the NTA website, whereas the results of GUJCET are declared on the official GUJCET website.

3. Counselling Registration: To go through the state-level counselling process, qualified candidates have to first register. This normally involves filling in an online form and paying the required registration charge.

4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are required to submit their documents for verification. These may include:

  • 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • JEE Main/GUJCET score card
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
  • Category certificates (if applicable)
  • Other relevant documents specified by the admission committee

5. Choice Filling: During the counselling session, candidates are required to fill in their preferences for colleges and courses.

6. Seat Allotment: Allotments are done based on the candidate's ranking, their choices, and seat availability.

7. Fee Payment: Once a candidate is allotted a seat, they must pay the admission fee to secure their admission.

8. Reporting to the College: Finally, the candidates must report to the Aarya-Veer College of Engineering and Technology after the allotment of the seat and payment of its fee for concluding admission formalities.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech Programs:

Aarya-Veer College of Engineering and Technology offers three full-time B.Tech programs:

  1. B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
  2. B.Tech in Civil Engineering
  3. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

The admission process for all B.Tech courses is the same and relies on the candidate's performance in either JEE Main or GUJCET. All students must have completed their 12th or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. The college follows the guidelines for admission as specified by the state's admission committee and allotment of seats based on the score obtained in these entrance examinations.
