Acharya College of Engineering, Badvel, provides a wide array of engineering courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma levels. The AICTE-approved institution has a definite process of admission by which it chooses worthy candidates for its various courses.

The admission process generally happens after the academic year, which generally starts in August-September. For undergraduate courses, the college basically takes scores of national-level and state-level engineering entrance exams. The key entrance exams taken by the college are Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET).

For postgraduate courses, especially M.Tech, the college admits on the basis of scores in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET). Admissions to the diploma are usually done on the basis of the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET) or the marks secured by the candidate in the 10th standard or equivalent exam.

Application Process

Application process of Acharya College of Engineering, Badvel, is different with different programs:

For B.Tech courses:

1. Pass JEE Main or AP EAMCET examination.
2. Opt for the right counseling process (JoSAA for JEE Main or counseling process of AP EAMCET).
3. Select Acharya College of Engineering and opted courses during the counseling process.
4. After seat allotment, attend the college to finish document verification and admission process.

For M.Tech courses:

1. Clear GATE or AP PGECET entrance exam.
2. Opt for AP PGECET counseling process.
3. Select Acharya College of Engineering and desired M.Tech branch during counseling.
4. If chosen, proceed with the college admission process.

For Diploma courses:

1. Appear for AP POLYCET or possess qualifying 10th class marks.
2. Apply through the AP POLYCET admission counseling process or the direct admission process of the college for 10th-based admissions.
3. Select the preferred diploma course in Acharya College of Engineering.
4. Complete the admission formalities if chosen.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: Acharya College of Engineering offers five B.Tech programs with a cumulative intake capacity of 180 seats. Admissions are provided on the basis of JEE Main or AP EAMCET ranks. Specializations offered include Computer Science and Engineering (60 seats), Electronics and Communication Engineering (30 seats), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (30 seats), Civil Engineering (30 seats), and Cyber Security (30 seats). The applicants must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects to apply.

M.Tech: The institution provides two courses of M.Tech: VLSI and Embedded Systems, and Electrical Power Systems, and each of the courses has 18 seats. The admissions take place on AP PGECET ranks or on GATE scores. The applicants must have a relevant B.E./B.Tech for the same.

Diploma: There are four diploma courses with a total of 60, 60, 30, and 30 seats in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Civil Engineering, respectively. Admissions are generally carried out on the basis of AP POLYCET marks or marks scored in the 10th standard.

  • Entrance exam score card (JEE Main/AP EAMCET/GATE/AP PGECET/AP POLYCET as relevant)
  • Transfer certificate

  • Any other relevant certificates as directed by the institute
