For PGDM courses, the candidates need to appear for one of the AICTE-approved management entrance exams. These tests are CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or GMAT. The test scores are an important component of the preliminary screening. Shortlisted candidates from the preliminary screening based on test scores undergo a rigorous selection process consisting of application screening, group discussions, and panel interviews.
Application Process
The application process for programs at ASCI consists of multiple steps:
1. Entrance Test: The candidate needs to appear for one of the AICTE-approved management entrance tests (CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or GMAT) for PGDM courses.

4. Application Review: The admissions committee considers all applications, taking into account academic achievements, entrance exam scores, and other relevant criteria.
5. Shortlisting: Following the first level of screening, candidates are shortlisted to undergo the following phase of selection.
6. Group Interview: The shortlisted candidates undergo a group interview to analyze their interpersonal skills, cooperation, and critical thinking.
7. Panel Interview: The penultimate step involves generally a panel interview, whereby the candidates are examined on personality in general, career aspirations, and appropriateness for the program.
8. Final Selection: Depending on the overall performance in all stages, final selected candidates list is prepared.
9. Admission Confirmation: Selected candidates need to confirm their admission by paying the stated fees and providing required documents within the stipulated time frame.
Degree wise Admission Process
PGDM: Post Graduate Diploma in Management of ASCI is a two-year full-time course with an intake of 120 students. The admission is on the basis of scores obtained in CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or GMAT followed by the institute's selection process in the form of group and panel interviews. The course is so framed as to provide students with in-depth knowledge of management theory and practices.
PGDM Hospital Management: This two-year specialized program also accepts 120 students every year. The admission process is the same as the general PGDM, where candidates are required to appear for one of the AICTE-approved management entrance exams. This program meets the growing demand for management professionals in the health care industry.
Fellow Program in Management (FPM): FPM is the doctoral program of ASCI, with a class strength of 20. It is a four-year full-time research-based program.
