Amrita Sai Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST), Krishna, is a prominent autonomous institution with a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The admissions into ASIST are very thorough and merit-oriented, giving candidates that actually deserve to enjoy and pursue the course they intend to come from every nook and cranny of life. Most of the time, the admission process of the Institute starts in the month of August-September for the academic year and the application forms are released around May-June. Depending on the respective program, ASIST admits students through several national and state level entrance examinations. For undergraduate engineering programs, it chiefly depends upon the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET).
Generally, for admission, candidates must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects to the undergraduate courses. However, for most of these courses, it must be provided that the minimum aggregates in the qualifying examination must be 50% marks, while for the postgraduate courses; a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university is mandatory. Important dates of the admission process would vary according to the programs or entrance examinations. In general, the AP EAMCET will be conducted in May for engineering admissions; the APICET will usually be held in May for MBA and MCA admissions.

Degree wise admission process
B.Tech: ASIST offers 8 B.Tech programs with 660 seats based on the AP EAMCET scores. The institute also provides specialization in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Data Science, Big Data Analytics, Internet of Things, and Cyber Security Including Block Chain Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, VLSI Design and Technology, Electronics and Communication Advanced Communication Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Diploma: The institute offers 4 Diploma programs with an intake of 360 students. Admissions are based on the AP POLYCET test. Specializations are in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
MBA: Two specializations are offered in MBA with 180 seats. Admission is based on APICET scores. The institute also offers an MBA in Health Care and Hospital Management.
MCA: An MCA program with 155 seats divided among 2 specializations. Admissions are based on the APICET.
M.Tech: The institute offers 5 M.Tech specializations with a total of 90 seats. Admissions are based on the entrance test, APPGCET. The specializations are Structural Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, and Digital Electronics and Communication Systems.
