Annai College of Arts and Science, Kumbakonam (ACAS Kumbakonam) is a reputed college, providing a plethora of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses under a plethora of disciplines. 

For undergraduate courses, the minimum qualification is 10+2 passed from a recognized board. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is required for most of the courses. Postgraduate candidates should have already passed their bachelor's degree in the concerned stream from a recognized university with at least 55-60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Courses: ACAS Kumbakonam has a number of B.Sc courses such as Computer Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Visual Communication, and Biotechnology. The admission to the above-mentioned courses is based on marks secured in the 10+2 exam, the science subjects taking precedence. B.Sc Biochemistry has 40 seats, B.Sc Microbiology has 30 seats, B.Sc Chemistry has 60 seats, and B.Sc Biotechnology has 30 seats.

B.Com Courses:
The college provides B.Com, B.Com Computer Applications, B.Com Applied Commerce, and B.Com Corporate and Secretaryship. Admission is on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the 10+2 examination, giving preference to those students who have pursued commerce or related courses.

BA Courses: ACAS Kumbakonam offers BA courses in English, Tamil Literature, and Defence and Strategic Studies. 37 seats are available for the course of BA English. Admission will be made on marks obtained at the qualifying examination with special attention to language skill and concerned subject.

BCA and BBA: These professional undergraduate courses are concerned with computer applications and business administration, respectively. Admission is based on the 10+2 result, and students who have studied commerce or mathematics are given due consideration.

MBA: The ACAS Kumbakonam Master of Business Administration course has 120 seats. Admission is presumably on the basis of the candidate's bachelor's degree result and may also involve a personal interview or group discussion.

MCA 180 seats. Applications are open for candidates who hold a B.Sc. in computer science or allied streams. The selection may be based on graduation marks and perhaps an entrance test or interview.

M.Sc Courses: ACAS Kumbakonam has M.Sc courses in Biotechnology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Physics. M.Sc Chemistry course has 22 seats. Admission is provided based on the candidate's performance in their respective bachelor's degree.

M.Com and MA Courses: These postgraduate courses in Commerce and English/Tamil are offered for students who have already pursued their bachelor's degrees in the same subjects.

Ph.D Courses: The college offers Ph.D courses in Tamil, Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Computer Science. For these courses, the general requirement is a master's degree in the same subject with an entrance test and/or interview.
