ACAS Kumbakonam Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has separate hostel facilities are available for boys, with a capacity of 120 students in each hostel. Recreational facilities like outdoor and indoor games are available to the hostel students. Every room has an additional plug point to help students to use their computer device/lab top without any further charge. The emergency medical facility will be arranged for students in a private nursing home in Kumbakonam, Internet facility is also available in hostels.

The College has a Health care center that is functioning within the college employing male and female doctors and supported by a retired Nursing superintendent for both the students and faculty. The ambulance facility is also provided by the Management to the Health Centre. In case of emergency medical care, the Ambulance is utilized for transportation to the nearby Hospital at Kumbakonam.

The College library is housed in a magnificent building that is constructed almost in the center of the campus. The Library is the nerve center of knowledge and serves the students and staff members with needed information resources.  The Library acts as a vital partner in the collaborative learning activities with a wide range of academic resources such as books, journals, current periodicals, back volumes, e-resources, CDs/DVDs, a Question bank, and institutional library membership. The library is a fully automated, barcode-based system and provides a user–friendly atmosphere. The library is installed with a CCTV camera.

The institution provides facilities for the events of sports and games. The full-time Physical Director is responsible for conducting all the sports events. Inter-Collegiate sports events are being conducted to encourage the students who are involved in sports and games. The institution organizes Inter-School Sports even every year in the college premises to motivate the school students.

The College has Computer Lab with Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle, which teachers use to enhance the learning experience by including computers and the Internet in the learning process. Different teachers use the VLE in different ways including storing course information and assignments, online quizzes, interactive tools such as discussions or wikis, displays of student work, and Internet links to outside curriculum resources. You will also be given your own password-protected space on the student network to save files etc, which you can access from outside the college and your own student email address.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The seminar hall is fully equipped with Audio and Visual Systems.

The College has Logistics is the strong point of college. Group of institutions has 25 buses at present to facilitate both students and staff from the rural and town areas around 4 districts in nearly 45 routes. This makes your trip to campus hassle-free and pleasant. This facility has made it possible to start the classes on time and thereby helping the academic process to run smoothly.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

There is a Canteen facility available on the campus for the staff and students to provide a good catering service to the staff and students at a low cost.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
