ACET, Sangrur, is amongst the most renowned engineering colleges in Punjab, India. The institution teaches a wide array of courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and Diploma courses in multiple streams of engineering. The process of admission in ACET is so formulated as to admit deserving candidates on the basis of a combination of national-level entrance tests and merit.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: ACET provides B.Tech courses in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology. Admission is primarily through JEE Main marks. The college has 210 seats in these courses, out of which Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, and Mechanical Engineering have 60 seats each, and Civil Engineering has 30 seats.

M.Tech: M.Tech is offered by the college in Computer Science and Engineering (24 seats), Electronics and Communication Engineering (12 seats), and Mechanical Engineering (12 seats). The admission is done on the basis of scores in the GATE exam. The process of admission, according to the college, is "Admission to M.Tech. Program of the Punjab Technical University on the basis of merit in the GATE examination."

Diploma: Diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering are also offered by ACET.
