Audisankara College of Engineering and Technology, Gudur Admission Process

Audisankara College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Gudur, is a top-ranking autonomous college with a diversified range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and management. The college operates on a systematic admission procedure to identify deserving students for different courses. ACET enrolls students based on several entrance tests for fair and competitive admissions.

Admissions to ACET follow a traditional academic year for the state of Andhra Pradesh, and intake usually takes place in July-August. All admissions to college are usually through scores from Andhra Pradesh level entrance exams. AP EAMCET is the key entry exam for bachelor's level courses in engineering.

Eligibility standards are program-specific. For B.Tech courses, candidates need to pass 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects. An aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved classes) in the qualifying examination is normally expected. For M.Tech programs, a degree of B.Tech/B.E in the same branch with an aggregate of at least 50% marks is compulsory. Candidates seeking MBA must have a bachelor's degree in any field with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.

Application Process

Application for Audisankara College of Engineering and Technology is different based on the program:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Clear the AP EAMCET examination.
2. Get registered for the state-level counseling process.
3. Select ACET and desired courses at the time of counseling.
4. If a seat is allotted, report to ACET for document verification and admission procedure.

For M.Tech programs:

1. Appear and pass the AP PGECET exam.
2. Take part in the state-level counseling process for M.Tech admissions.
3. Select ACET and desired specialization at the time of counseling.
4. Do admission formalities at ACET if a seat is allotted.

For MBA and MCA programs:

1. Qualify the APICET exam.
2. Register for the centralized counseling procedure.
3. Opt for ACET during the counseling procedure.
4. In case of selection, finish the admission procedure at ACET.

For Diploma programs:

1. Take the AP POLYCET exam.
2. Attend the counseling procedure for polytechnic admissions.
3. Opt for ACET and desired diploma course.
4. Finish the admission procedure if assigned a seat.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: ACET conducts several B.Tech courses like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc. B.Tech course admissions depend mostly on the scores of AP EAMCET. ACET has a high intake capacity with Computer Science and Engineering's highest at 720 seats followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering's 480 seats.

M.Tech: The institute offers specialized M.Tech courses like Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI, Electrical Power Systems, and so on. Admissions for M.Tech courses are done based on AP PGECET scores. The intake is different for various specializations, with Computer Science and Engineering having 54 seats and the majority of other specializations having 18-36 seats each.

MBA: ACET's MBA admissions are made purely on the performance of the student in APICET. Intake capacity of the program is 180 seats. The procedure for selection may involve APICET scores, followed by rounds as per institute norms.

MCA: Master of Computer Applications program at ACET has high intake of 240 seats. Admission is possibly on the basis of APICET scores like the MBA course.

Diploma Programs: ACET provides diploma courses in many disciplines of engineering. Admissions into these courses are made through AP POLYCET. Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering receive the maximum admission with 300 and 240 seats respectively.

  • Entrance exam rank card (AP EAMCET/AP PGECET/APICET/AP POLYCET)
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate (if required)
  • Caste certificate (for reserved category students)

Coming to faculty, the facilities have good knowledge on the subject, and every faculty member with the minimum qualification is M.Tech; they will teach us, sometimes on board, sometimes on a PowerPoint presentation based on the topic. I will give them 8 out of 1 for the faculty.

Yes, Admission to MCA at ACET Gudur is through AP ICET. But the application last date for admission to MBA/MCA through ICET was over on April 05, 2018.
